Sport at Moreton Bay Boys’ College continues to build upon its now firmly established foundation, with record numbers participating at District, Regional and State based sporting levels.
Lower Primary Years
Boys in Years 1-4 are able to participate in a range of skill-based activities. These include our Active After School Sport program which offers two activities each term.
Boys in Year 4 can also be members of the Under 9 Division of CIC teams in Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics (limited to nine boys in each event).
Year 5-7 students
Term 1 – CIC Cricket and CIC Swimming
Term 2 – CIC Rugby, CIC Soccer and CIC Cross Country
Term 3 – CIC Basketball, CIC Tennis and CIC Athletics
Term 4 – Golf and Sailing
Year 8 -12 students
Term 1 – Cricket (Inter school) and Sailing
Term 2 – Rugby and Soccer (Inter school)
Term 3 – Basketball (Inter school)
Term 4 - Basketball (Inter school), Golf and Teams Racing Sailing.
Representative Sport
Boys can represent MBBC at District, Metropolitan East, State and National levels.
Years 5, 6 and 7 play in Queensland Primary School sport (Wynnum and Lytton Districts).
Years 8 to 12 play in the Queensland Secondary School Sport competition (Gateway District and Metropolitan East).
All representative sports are by nomination through the MBBC Sports department.
