A new online payment system that is being developed by Westpac, is about to be implemented at both Moreton Bay College and Moreton Bay Boys’ College.

Parents will be able to pay a variety of payments via the online system including school fees, tuckshop ordering, school activities and events for both of the Colleges and Parents and Friends Associations.

When we “go live” you will simply log onto the respective Colleges’ websites, click on “Online Payments” on the top right hand corner of the home page and follow the prompts.

For school fee payments, the system will automatically re-direct you to the TASS parent lounge area so you will need to have your login details and password ready to enter. You will then see a link to the Fee Payment area and your fee information will appear automatically. You will only be able to make payments for school fees in TASS parent lounge via your credit card. Should you wish to make payments via direct debit and you haven’t already established this for 2012, please contact the school office.

For all other events, you will have the option to make payments by credit card (Mastercard or Visa) or via a direct debit directly from your cheque or bank account.

We anticipate that the system will be ready to use from next week. This new online process should be much easier to use than the previous online system at Moreton Bay College and the opportunity to pay tuition fees online will add even more benefit for busy families across both schools.

In the near future, we are intending to also implement online ordering for Uniform shop items. This will include a delivery service to Moreton Bay Boys College and to the Junior Administration and Senior Student services areas at Moreton Bay College for the students to collect their items if requested.

More information will be made available about the online process next week.

Clean Up Australia Day

Moreton Bay Boys College has registered to take part in “Clean Up Australia Day”. We will be participating in the 2012 Schools Clean Up Day which is on 2 March. Whilst our grounds are maintained in excellent condition, it is a valuable social contribution for the staff and students to take part in events which give them ownership of their school.

To enable as many students as possible to engage in the stewardship of our grounds, we will be involved from 2pm – 3pm next Friday. The Prep boys will begin a little earlier than this as they have an early finish and then hand over to the remainder of the school to finish the job. Boys will participate in House groups in various sectors of the College grounds. This also provides a great opportunity for mixed age groups to get together in a social context.

Please send along some plastic gloves or gardening gloves to aid the boys in this worthwhile event. Rubbish collection bags have been provided by the Clean Up Australia Day organisation.

The first 11 played their second game on the weekend going down to Marist Ashgrove by 5/ 116 to 7/75. The score could have been a lot closer as the boys were down a few players but the boys that were there gave a good account of themselves. The batting was led by Patrick Schofield and he was well supported by Scott Campbell who together put on a 30+ partnership.

The next best batting was Will Matterson with 16. The bowling was once again very good with wickets being evenly taken amongst our bowlers and only one Marist player taking the handle to us and the others well contained through accuracy and good length. I look forward to our next game and giving another report on how much we have improved, until the next over – bye for now!
