Farewell Year 12

16 November 2016

atp-1000This week we farewell our Year 12 boys.  I want to thank them for the contribution that they have made to the college – from sport to cultural pursuits, from academics to service, in all aspects of college life these boys have made a difference.  I am not going to remember them by what they physically left behind, but by the example they set to the college community through service.  From assisting with the organisation and implementation of college events as a group through to conducting astronomy nights and tutoring younger boys in the art of public speaking or model making individually, the graduating cohort have willingly given back to the community that served and prepared them with service.  This is a great school with an amazing culture that through our outstanding school experience, develop fine young men who are knowledgeable, intellectually versatile, personally adaptable and contributors to society.

While the boys will finish their formal education with us on Friday, they will always remain part of our college community.  They all join the alumni and regularly come back to the college to participate in college events and impart their knowledge and wisdom on the next generations of graduates.

As a college, I am confident that we have prepared these graduates for the next phase of their lives.  While they will commence a wide range of activities after a short and well-earned rest, I am confident that these graduates have developed long lasting friendships that will serve them well into the future.

Best wishes boys.
