The scoreline didn’t reflect the close contest, but the Year 4/5 Rugby team certainly put up a strong effort on Saturday against St Patrick’s College. A few long range tries were the difference in the game, but in many phases of the game, the MBBC boys were in control.

The work by the forwards in particular was outstanding, their ruck and maul work impressive. Stirling Schmidt and Josh Bennett were again everywhere and Luke Brenson had a very strong game running the ball and moving the pack. Sam Atkins scored a try for MBBC to ensure some reward for effort. Each week the team continues to improve and we look forward to continuing progress and the great effort and attitude.
