Australian Individual Debating and Public Speaking Championships
at MBBC from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm daily
The competition will be based in the Senior Studies Centre at MBBC

Nude Food Day
Did you know that each Australian household produces an average of 1.14 tonnes of waste per year … a number that together, we can all help to reduce!
Our Package Free Lunch Day in Term 4 will coincide with the national Nude Food Day. On Wednesday 13 October all Australians are encouraged to pack a healthy, rubbish-free lunch and participate in this national sustainability event. As a part of National Nutrition Week 10-16 October, Nutrition Australia and Nude Food Movers are challenging all Australian schools and workplaces to look after the environment and their health by packing their food nude! http://www.nudefoodday.com.au/

Friday 22 October
Year 5 Excursion – V8 Supercars, Gold Coast.
Departing MBBC at 8:00 am.
Students should bring a packed lunch, water bottle, writing and drawing material, and camera if possible.
Full day uniform and hat must be worn.
Boys will be brought back to MBBC at the conclusion of the event, departing the Gold Coast at 2:00 pm.
Thursday 28 October
Year 9 Drama Excursion – QPAC Backstage Tour, Southbank.
Meet at Manly Train Station at 8:00 am.
Train departs at 8:13 am sharp.
Students should bring a packed lunch, water bottle, writing and drawing material, and camera if possible.
Full day uniform and hat must be worn.
Boys will be brought back to MBBC from the train station (at 2:00 pm) at the conclusion of the excursion.
Friday 29 October
Each year the College supports charity organisation CanTeen which is celebrating National Bandanna Day on Saturday 30 October. Bandannas are on sale for $4 and all proceeds go towards supporting 12-24 year olds living with cancer.
This year, MBBC will support this worthy fundraising event on Friday 29 October. Bandannas will be on sale from 6 October – however please note, boys will only be allowed to wear their bandanna to school on Friday 29 October. Boys can purchase them before school or at first break from Mrs King or Ms Avenell. Thank you for your support.

On Friday 29 October, MBBC will host the inaugural Moreton Bay Boys’ College Arts Exhibition. Please see the individual article for further information.
Wednesday 10 November
Year 10 and Year 11 Drama Excursion - Westside Story, QPAC, Southbank.
Depart from MBBC at 11:45 am.
Students should bring a packed lunch, water bottle, writing and drawing material.
Full day uniform and hat must be worn.
Late return: Boys will return to Manly Station at 4:45 pm and their transport home from the train station is the responsibility of the individual family.
