The OSHC program at Morton Bay Boys’ College is owned and run by Osh Club, a Melbourne-based company specialising in out of school hour’s care in Primary schools. Bookings can be made at www.oshclub.com.au
Before and After Child care services are offered to boys from Prep – Y7. Bookings and further information can be downloaded below.
Our programmes are run by a qualified teacher with the support of assistants who are studying in the field. The boys’ interests, needs and abilities are taken into account when programming so that all boys are actively involved in the choices they have each day.
Our Before and After School programs (held in the school Library and Prep Classroom respectively) include a range of activities designed to meet the needs of boys from Prep to Year 7.
Boys can take advantage of the College’s great outdoor facilities, such as the oval and the Prep playground and sandpit area, as well as enjoying the indoor activities provided by OHSC, including a great selection of art and craft, board games, construction blocks, roads and cars, and the ever popular Lego. In the mornings (with licensing at OHSC for just 26), the boys enjoy lots of one-on-one time, and can experiment with more intricate activities such as origami. A full house each afternoon proves the popularity of extended care for both working parents and the boys!
Our Vacation Care program, catering for both boys and girls, offers a daily theme-based approach, from Beach Party to Olympics, Pirate Day, Be a Rock Star, African Safari Adventures and a day surrounded by their favourite colours … plus oodles of things in between. And the activities are just as diverse – from scavenger hunts to cooking, creating aliens and robots from hand-picked “finds” at Reverse Garbage, team sports, singing in a band and lots of entertaining games, inside and out.
Other popular activities that appeal to individuals include the use of computers, board games such as chess, cooking, art and craft, and of course a wide range of outdoor activities and ball games such as cricket, adventure playground and sand-pit play, plus use of the College oval and basketball courts to burn a little more energy.
Vacation Care also includes a number of exciting excursions throughout the year, to places such as the museums, bowling, movies and the Port of Brisbane.
