Primary School (Prep – Year 6)

Class teachers are primarily responsible for care of their students and are the first ‘port of call’ for boys and their parents regarding any concerns that may arise. Team Leaders and the Assistant Principal are also available should an issue or concern require additional assistance. In addition, MBBC offers the services of our resident Chaplain and we maintain relationships with suitably qualified professionals, such as educational psychologists, occupational and speech therapists, to whom a family can be referred.

Buddy Relationships

Classes work together to form buddy relationships between the older and younger boys of the College. The older boys work with their younger buddy on a weekly basis, in activities such as reading, as well as assisting them around the school, and providing support at interhouse carnivals. This helps cement a culture of respect and care within our school community.

You Can Do It

YOU CAN DO IT! is a class based program designed to equip primary school children with the attitudes and values that are the foundations for academic achievement, sound interpersonal relationships, overall healthy psychological living and (the eventual) successful transition from school to work, further education and adult life. Boys undertake activities with their class teacher on the various themes within the program, which focus on such attributes as confidence, resilience, organisation, persistence and getting along with others.
